Chaos EP
With over 600,000 streams in a few days on his last 'Stand Back' EP, and with praising reviews on Tune Collective, EDM Sauce, Your EDM, China Billboard Number 1 EDM Charts, 7 Grams presents us with a mammoth 5 hard hitting festival big room records is the name of the game here, and this EP has a real tip of the hat to the Major Lazer / Diplo sound, with brash percussive rhythms, atonal syncopations, and flashy big synth riffs to appease large mainstage crowd punters. 'Spindle Top' is the A side to start us off on 7 Grams journey, and it vibrates with buzzing metallic synths. On the B Side is another heavy hitting peak time record entitled 'Bedlam' and snappy saw tooth riffs hit hard with that distorted kick line - the penultimate breakdown is the apex of the record here and in typical 7 Grams fashion - everything comes to a leftfield switch at the drop. 'Velvet Hammer' and 'Lead Balloon' compliment each other nicely, with swirling synth motifs abound on both, and 'Ordered Chaos' has a sense of formality to it whilst at the same time being extremely hedonistic and brash. With international DJ support already by the likes of Tiesto, Benny Benassi, DJ Snake, and Annie Mac (BBC Radio 1), 7 Grams has only truly begin his journey into the world of globe trotting DJ superstar. Expect much more from him in the coming months and enjoy this months offering of two smash festival records.
