Overloaded Art EP

With a steady stream of releases so far this year, 7 Grams has established himself within a short period of time as one of the most active Chinese artists on the electronic music scene today. Hot off his last LP and incredible visual work with Dark Fairy Tale, 7 Grams this month wants to release another 3 records showcasing various stylistic headspaces and moods. 'Arrival' is a cerebral bender of a record - atmospheric swirls and sharp crisp percussion make this record powerful and wide in its approach. 'Warm Up The Crowd' is self explanatory in its titling, though the subtle nuances of the record take a twist around the midsection with its enveloping and careful attention to detail. 'Overloaded Art' is a big room no frills festival room - the synths are fantastic and add a metallic shimmer to the monotonic drum layers. This is a terrific release and through each record we are all understanding the personality of 7 Grams. His expressionism is unique and he makes thought provoking work.
